The Fire Island Pines Beach and Great South Bay are surprisingly close to each other–just a few minutes walk from side to side–so, taking advantage of both is a cinch, here, at Sandy Escapes!

While the beach and interior pathways through the center of the island, between communities are open to all; the dunes that connect the two are protected. Dune fencing sometimes reminds us of this.

While you travel everywhere in the Fire Island Pines via raised boardwalks, the two exceptions are the beach and inland trails both of which eventually connect to other communities.
